Many people are returning to the metal bedstead as a classic icon of classical English country design.  But with a new generation of designers and artists comes some fabulous new twists on the old looks.  Fresher more modern designs bring the metal bedstead back from the brink of extinction. 

Metal bedsteads of old were mostly constructed of iron or brass.  While these metals are great for some looks and designs, the more modern metal bedsteads come in a wide array of materials.  This brushed chrome adds an air of sophistication to the bedroom.  Brass can be harsh to the eyes and is very difficult to match or coordinate with subtle paint colors.  This brushed chrome would fit into any color scheme you choose.

I just love this one.  It reminds me of my favorite springtime flower, Tulips!  I can just picture sunshine streaming through the open windows fluffing the spread in a gentle breeze.  With this model metal bedstead you could have spring all year round.  By adding the light green coverlet and drape to this room, the decorator really makes the bedstead stand out against the otherwise white room.  What a great clean look for Spring.
